Kenneth Mathews: Why I Never Quit During Tough Times

Every entrepreneur has moments when quitting feels easier than continuing.

I've had days when deals fell through at the last minute, payments got delayed, events didn't sell as expected, and plans I'd spent months building seemed to fall apart overnight.

In those moments, the question isn't whether things are difficult. The question is whether you believe in what you're building enough to keep going.

I never quit during tough times because I've learned that challenges are temporary, but regret lasts much longer.

When people see success, they usually see the final result.

They don't see the sleepless nights, the uncertainty, the rejections, or the countless problems solved behind the scenes. Every business has a chapter that nobody talks about—the chapter where nothing seems to work.

What keeps me moving forward is understanding that every setback carries a lesson. A failed event teaches better planning. A lost client teaches better communication. A financial challenge teaches discipline. Every obstacle makes the next challenge easier to handle.

I've also realized that entrepreneurship is not about avoiding problems. It's about becoming the kind of person who can solve bigger problems.

The toughest periods of my journey have often been the periods that produced the most growth. They forced me to think differently, work smarter, and become more resilient.

There are days when motivation disappears. On those days, discipline takes over. I focus on the next call, the next meeting, the next task, and the next opportunity. Small actions eventually create momentum again. Most people underestimate how close they are to a breakthrough when they decide to stop. Success often comes after the point where many people would have quit.

That's why I keep going.

Not because the journey is easy.

Not because I have all the answers.

But because I believe that every challenge is preparing me for something bigger.

And because one day, I'll look back at these difficult moments and realize they were not the reason to quit they were the reason I succeeded.
